Meet the Board of Young Mothers, Inc.





Young Mothers, Inc. will continue to position itself and connect young mothers to critical resources with a large amount of support from their Board of Directors. Board members who have a shared emotional connection to the mission because they have experienced the economical and social challenges young mothers endure due to lack of proper resources for health and wellness and education.





Candice Armstrong-addison



Finance Committee Vice Chair





After graduating college with a bachelor’s degree in international studies and an M.B.A. in global management, Candice spent over 10 years accumulating experience in investment banking, real estate, and doing humanitarian work for major NGOs. After a successful career helping banks and real estate agencies, Candice is now segueing into independent financial consulting focusing on investment deals. Candice is a strong believer of giving back to the community and helping uplift those around her. Candice joined Young Mother’s because the mission of the organization was one, she believes in. Candice believes that she can apply her financial expertise to help women in the program seek better career opportunities, educational opportunities, and learning opportunities.



Perliter Walter-Gilliam



Governance Committee and Strategic
Planning Vice Chair





A higher education accreditation professional, Perliter has almost 15 years of experience working with non-profit boards, private institutions, and career schools. With an MBA from the Robert Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland College Park, she employs both her business skills with higher education to support institutional growth with regulatory compliance. Perliter committed to being a catalyst for change and in service to others, especially those who cannot speak up for themselves. In her role as vice chair of the Strategic Planning and Governance committees for YMI, she hopes to champion the mission of the organization as it serves Young Mothers in the DMV.



Kamille Bundy



Founder
Fundraising Committee- Chair





A Prince George’s County native and a government financial consultant, Kamille began her career as an admin personnel in 2010 in banking as a teller. Since 2012, Kamille Bundy has worked with some of the top government agencies like Homeland Security, Department of Interior, and The Department of Defense, to name a few. Through her journey as a young mother, she realized that there are other young mothers who share similar experiences with unhealthy relationships, working low- income jobs to make ends meet and challenges with raising a family while finishing school. As a result, she has been determined to design and teach ways to increase individual income and achieve financial freedom.With her personal experiences, leadership skills and educational background, she will continue to lead YMI into future greatness.
